R&D is the way to cross the borders of current technologies by improving them, finding them new applications or developing new breakthrough technologies. Current main R&D projects aim at developing new technologies for :

• Amine based processes improvement,
• CO₂ capture,
  
• New column internals for sour gas treatment,
• New solvents for sour gas treatment,
• Mercaptans Removal,
• Treatment of natural gases with high acid gas contents (projects in partnership with TOTAL: Sprex® and Sprex® CO₂),
• An improved Clauspol™ process with much reduced equipment sizes.
